Productions / DeCadence A Cappella: UC Berkeley!
An exhilarating night with UC Berkeley's DeCadence A Cappella Group. From lush and complex ballads to a hilarious vocal send up of the Mario Brothers video game, the performance was more than we could have imagined. No Square Theatre continues to support performing arts students by lending our venue, and giving a $1000 gift to DeCadence toward their pending CD. We can't wait for a return engagement at our place in Laguna Beach, CA.
Who are you people?!
We’re a co-ed a cappella group from the University of California, Berkeley, which is located just across the bay from San Francisco. Our group has been singing on campus for about 20 years now, and we have a long tradition of being quirky performers while still maintaining a high level of musical standards! Historically, our membership has included both undergraduate and graduate men and women.
What kind of music do you sing?
We mainly perform American popular music (top 40, Classic Rock, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Contemporary), but we do like to throw in original songs or fun spin-offs every once in a while. Our entire repertoire comprises of songs arranged by the group’s members (current and former).
How many people are normally in your group?
While we’ve fluctuated in the past, we normally have 12-16 members at a time.
