This is a kind of on again / off again event, depending on how many projects NoSquare Theatre has in production at any one time.  We will typically send out a "spam" Email blast to No Square's distribution list when we plan to hold one.

Local Vocals is an "Open Mic Night" held at Legion Hall in the early weekend evening.  Anyone who would like to try their stuff on the provided stage mics is welcome. Most of the time you're singing, but it doesn't have to be that way.   You could recite a poem, play an instrument, mime, or even show us your dance moves.  We don't care.

Local Vocals is headlined by local legend, choir director, professional musician and comic Roxanna Ward.  She can play just about anything in any key and will even change it mid-number when you get off key!  All you have to do is show up with a tune in mind that she knows or with some sheet music she can read.  No Square even provides a set of music books should you need a tune to sing.  Oftentimes local musicians show up and help "fill out" the accompaniment.  One of these people could be you.

A side-benefit is that you gain performance experience and receive valuable feedback from both the audience and professional musicians and singers should they be in attendance (which they typcially are).
