Now in its 34th year, LAGUNATICS is a musical parody revue in the classic burlesque style, featuring great Broadway tunes and pop songs with lyrics that celebrate and skewer the unique goofiness of Laguna Beach. With loads of new issues and wacky controversies every year, the writers create material suited to both the headlines and the talent of the cast. If you’re in need of a bit of silly, or have always wanted to play a tap-dancing goat, this is your chance.
PREPARE: Prepare approximately 32 bars of a song that shows off your range and personality. A musical theater would be ideal. Bring sheet music in the correct key or an accompaniment recording on your device to link with our speaker. Be prepared to list conflicts that will occur during the rehearsal period.
AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. To schedule an audition please email lagunatics@me.com and specify a time you would prefer on Tuesday, July 28.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin approximately Aug 8. The general rehearsal schedule will be built within these dates and times: Monday-Friday, 6:30-10:00 pm; Saturday, 10:00-5:00, and Sunday 12:00-8:00
